About
A passion for wine that is still growing
I am Pauline the heart behind Wine Affair — a wine professional who got hooked on wine during a South African wine tasting when I was 17. From that moment on, I knew this was what I wanted to do/get into. After studying tourism, I went on to join the prestigious, international WINTOUR master’s programme. As part of this, I studied at universities in three different countries, including Spain (Tarragona), France (Bordeaux), and Portugal (Porto). As part of my Master’s programme, I completed several internships. A short tourism internship at Entre Deux Monts (Belgium). A winemaking internship at Château Guiraud, a Premier Grand Cru Classé en 1855 in Sauternes (France). A long tourism internship at Rustic Vines in Bordeaux (France), during which I guided people through the vineyards of Saint-Émilion and the Médoc region, introducing them to wine and the rich history of this particular wine-growing region. In 2026 I persued my WSET L3 certificate (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) which demonstrates an advanced theoretical and taste-practical knowledge of wines from all over the world. What began as curiosity became a craft: reading a glass, understanding a terroir, and above all, passing that joy on.
Whether you are opening your very first bottle or building a serious cellar, I bring wine to life — without pretence, with plenty of pleasure.

An evening around the table, discovering grapes, styles and regions. From an intimate introduction to a theme based wine evening — always tailored to your group, your cellar and your curiosity.
02 — Classes
Wine Classes
Learn to taste with confidence. Small-group classes covering the language of wine, food pairing, and where to find them around the world — from your first swirl to a connoisseur’s palate. A series can exist out of 3 up to 6 classes. More information by enquiry.
03 — Journeys
Wine Trips
Travel to the source. Curated journeys to Bordeaux, Porto & Tuscany (Bolgheri, South Tuscany & Chianti) — private cellar visits, meetings with winemakers, and tables set among the vines. — Coming soon.
